Sirens

In 2024, Mackenzie began her Sirens series, a collection of oil paintings exploring the distortion of the human form through water. From a distance, the paintings appear fluid, drawing viewers in, only for them to realize up close that the imagery is blocks of color.

Bathe

The series of oil paintings titled "Bathe" feature a unique interplay of positive and negative space, achieved by leaving certain areas unpainted to expose the underlying line work of digital sketches, which were printed onto the canvas. This technique highlights the contrast between traditional fine art and digital design, inviting viewers to explore the relationships between the fluidity of paint and the precision of the lines.
